NEW TITLE HERE
A collection of meditations running for under two hours in a downloadable file from Melbourne doula, childbirth educator, pregnancy massage specialist and meditation teacher Sarah Goldberg, founding Director of Nurtured Birth.
The intention of these meditations is to instill a mindfulness practice that will assist you during pregnancy, birth, and raising your child.
When practiced regularly, meditation can change your life in the most profoundly positive way. These particular practices in the recordings assist us to feel more centred and calm.
These meditations practices were recorded live over Zoom. Spanning across the fifteen weeks of the Melbourne lockdown. Please note that there are references to this in some recordings.
This collection includes the following meditations:
Meditation 1: Bringing Awareness and Spreading Loving Kindness
This meditation focuses on bringing awareness to our body and breath. Observing the sensations of the body without judgement. A wonderful practice to bring awareness and attention to your mind, body, and baba during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. We work on developing an awareness of our body and breath, and spreading loving kindness inwards to ourselves and our babies, and outwards to the world.
Meditation 2: Developing Your Neural Pathways for Attention
This meditation further develops your practice by focusing on the breath and how that feels in our body. We use this practice to develop our neural pathways for attention, connecting deeply to our body, breath, baby, and loved ones. A sound practice to develop your neural pathways for attention and focus, we take time to set the intentions for our hopes and dreams, further changing our neural pathways to relax our nervous system and function at a better place during pregnancy, birth and when raising children.
Meditation 3: Groundedness
In this meditation, we deepen our connection to ourselves and our practice through stillness and sitting within ourselves and our own silence in the waiting space. A place of stillness where we continue to come back to the task, to the breath and create space for the answer to arrive. This practice of coming back helps us to strengthen the muscle of focus and concentration. What feelings and resistance may arise within us as we develop our practice? Can we fall in love with them, can we give them a chance to just be? Whenever you feel that life or pregnancy or labour may be throwing you about, come back to this grounded practice. Know that you have this all within you to ground yourself.
BONUS! Yoga Nidra With Pre and Postnatal Yoga Instructor Lanie Tobias
In this recording, with special guest Pre and Postnatal Yoga Instructor Lanie Tobias, we further our understanding by opening up our meditation practice to Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping typically induced by a guided meditation. This type of meditation helps relieve stress whilst bringing awareness to the body. Yoga Nidra is a wonderful meditation technique to include in your practice.
