Lanie Tobias – Pre and Postnatal Yoga Instructor

Hi I am Lanie! I am a mother of two beautiful girls who continuously provide me with opportunities for growth and transformation.  As I ride the waves of motherhood, I deeply understand the importance of self-care and taking time out of life to recharge. I feel so passionate about holding space for women and providing a nurturing and safe environment where women can feel supported and able to fully be themselves.

I came to yoga after many years as a social worker. Transitioning from the social work role to the yoga studio, I have been profoundly inspired to deepen my personal practice as it has brought me such positive transformational qualities to my own life. I enjoy sharing my love of yoga with others as it’s such a powerful tool for self-connection and filling up our cups.

I’m experienced in teaching Vinyasa (flow), Yin, Restorative and pre/post natal yoga to all levels and all ages. I am also skilled in teaching the fundamentals of yoga for beginners and tailoring the practice to suit the needs of intermediate and advanced students. I have experience working in yoga studios, corporate settings, schools, gyms and individual private sessions.

With my background in social work, I have a clear and compassionate teaching style that emphasises progressive learning and self-study, aiming to give students the tools to cultivate their own understanding and love of yoga. Working to bring the experience of yoga off the mat and into the practice of life.

With the combination of asana (physical practice), meditation and pranayama (breathing), I provide a safe, encouraging and non-judgmental environment where students can explore their yoga practice. My goal is to help students find and maintain a peaceful mind and body. In maintaining a mindful practice, I believe the mind-body connection teaches us how to live a fulfilling, healthy, and happy life on and off the yoga mat.

See you on the mat. Namaste
